The life blood of every charity is it volunteers and like so many,
SUFA depends on the generous help and support of our volunteers
Do you have some time to spare?
Would you like to contribute with your skills and energy to SUFA’s work?
Why not come and help out at our head office in Battersea, London?
We are able to facilitate voluntary placements, internships and school work experience, as we work both locally and internationally at grassroots level, it would be a great opportunity to work and be part of a small charity.
We are looking for a commitment of between one and three days a week for at least three months. If you are interested in applying to volunteer with SUFA, please contact us providing your CV and a covering letter stating your areas of interest.
Our Volunteers:
As a small charity our volunteers are an essential part of our workforce, they are involved in many different and varied roles within SUFA and bring with them a range of different skills and expertise.
At SUFA we have been fortunate to utilize the services of very skilled individuals who have been key to the charity growth. We are always open to new volunteers who can give us a few days or a few hours a week, if you can manage longer commitment that we are waiting to welcome your with open arms. We have a role for you
We are also fortunate to have volunteers that may not always be able to give over a set amount of days a week, however when they have time they pop in even for a few hours a day to help out on whatever they can.
Members:
Our membership is the central force in SUFA’s development and project delivery.
In 2012 we started a new membership drive and membership is open to anyone who supports our objective and our mission, to build strong communities to deliver independence and security to all.
Membership of SUFA is permanently open we encourage all users of the charity to join and become an active member. We now have a range of members from across the UK, there is currently a large body of active members and in London we have over 250 active members.
Our management committee was drawn exclusively from the membership.
